Wear Green to Support National Runaway Prevention Month
TeamSoft is encouraging employees to participate in the Green Light Project Wednesday, November 16th to raise awareness of youth runaway issues and help prevent youth runaways. 2.5 million youth run away every year, and an estimated 300 youth in Dane County are homeless each night.
Briarpatch Youth Services runs the only youth homeless shelter in Dane County. The Briarpatch Youth Shelter provides shelter and other services to homeless or runaway youth, or youth at risk of separation from their family due to conflict or other reasons.
The Green Light Project is the symbol for National Runaway Prevention Month, and getting involved is easy. To participate, wear any green clothing item or accessory tomorrow, then post a selfie or group photo to our Facebook page with the hashtag #NRPM2016. TeamSoft will be donating $2.00 to Briarpatch Youth Shelter for each person who wears green. One of our generous employees is matching this donation up to $150, so we could double the gift! Please join us to help raise awareness of this important issue.
