TeamSoft Donates to Child Advocacy Center Safe Harbor

TeamSoft consultant Adam Hartley recently utilized the TeamSoft Employee Grant Program to request a donation to Safe Harbor, a child advocacy center in Madison, Wisconsin. In his own words, here is Adam’s story about the organization and why he requested the donation:

I first heard of Safe Harbor from a fellow parent on the school playground. She was encouraging people to attend an upcoming fundraiser, the Rent Event, to help keep the doors open of the child advocacy center. She and her small team were dedicated to helping kids in Dane County who were victims of abuse, neglect, or were witnesses to crime. It wasn’t your typical school playground conversation, but it’s one I’m glad I had.

Safe Harbor is a safe, child-centered environment dedicated to providing emotional support, case coordination and forensic interview services to Dane County’s most vulnerable children. They work with law enforcement to bring the system to the child, advocating for thousands of children and their families since 1999.

This year, Safe Harbor is introducing a new four-legged member of the team, with unique abilities to reduce anxiety, increase feelings of safety and security, and provide quiet companionship. They will be the first child advocacy center in Wisconsin to have a facility dog to accompany children during forensic interviews and court proceedings. Thank you TeamSoft for standing up for kids in Dane County through your grant program!
