TeamSoft and Visiont Wear Green for National Runaway Prevention Month

In November, the TeamSoft Charitable Giving Committee (TCGC) held a fundraiser to raise money for National Runaway Prevention Month. Between 1.6 and 2.8 million youth run away each year. If they all lived in one city, it would be the 5th largest city in the United States. The TCGC felt these numbers were unacceptable and wanted to help make a difference!

To raise awareness of homeless youth, TeamSoft and Visiont employees posted photos wearing an item of green clothing with the hashtag #NRPM2017. The TCGC pledged to donate $5.00 on behalf of each employee/consultant that participated, up to a maximum of $500.

TeamSoft employees and consultants raised a total of $195 which was sent to Briarpatch Youth Services in Madison, WI. Briarpatch is a private non-profit organization serving Dane County. The agency’s mission is to provide innovative services dedicated to strengthening and improving the lives of youth, their families and the community. If you would like to help support Briarpatch Youth Services by donating or volunteering, please visit their website.

Visiont employees and consultants raised a total of $50 which was sent to Youth Emergency Services & Shelter (YESS) in Des Moines, IA. YESS is Iowa’s largest provider of emergency services for youth, and the agency connects more than 2,000 children per year with healing and hope. If you would like to help support YESS Iowa by donating or volunteering, please visit their website.

Thank you to everyone who participated to help us raise awareness of this important issue!
